Charter a bus
Our conventional transit buses are air-conditioned, low-floor and wheelchair accessible. They have no stairs at the doors, can lower to curb level and deploy a ramp to make boarding easier for everyone.
We offer:
- 40-foot buses with seating capacity of 37 to 40 passengers
- 30-foot buses with seating capacity of 22 passengers
- Each bus has two securement positions for customers using wheelchairs or scooters. Buses also have bike racks at the front that carry two regular bicycles.
Please remember our buses only travel within Oakville, during our service hours. A limited number of buses may be available depending on the time of day.
Standard charter rates
The rate within Oakville is $136 per hour (three hour minimum), plus HST.
A minimum of two business days notice is required for all charter bookings.
School programs charter service - Pilot program
Oakville Transit is offering Oakville schools assistance with charter busing to Recreation and Culture programs. If your school does not have a regularly scheduled bus on a route that will take you and your students to the facility that is offering the program you want to attend, Oakville Transit is piloting a new school programs charter service.
- The program must be between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday to Friday.
- You must book with Oakville Transit a minimum of two weeks in advance of your program date.
- The charter rate, paid directly to Oakville Transit, will be $176 per bus, per round trip (to the program and back to your school), plus tax.
