University, college, and adult education students 20 years and over must pay adult fare.

All children ages 12 and under ride free.
Effective March 1, 2023, kids 12 and under will continue to ride free by tapping on board with a PRESTO card or by traveling with a parent/guardian.

Oakville Transit customers can pay using exact cash, a PRESTO card loaded with funds or an Oakville Transit monthly pass product, PRESTO e-ticket, PRESTO contactless payment (credit card, debit card), valid paper transfer, special purpose paper monthly pass or special purpose ticket.
Bus drivers do not sell fares or carry change. Customers may be asked to present their paper fare media to the driver for validation.
Your Oakville Transit fare is free when connecting to or from GO Transit service.
Tap your PRESTO card and your fare discount will be calculated automatically. A valid, paper GO Transit single-ride ticket and day pass will also be accepted as proof of payment. Please show your valid paper GO ticket to the driver to receive the discount.
The co-fare discount is valid for two hours if you start your trip on Oakville Transit and three hours if you start on GO Transit.
GO Transit Group Passes and GO Transit e-tickets are not accepted for co-fare discounts.
A support person can travel free-of-charge on Oakville Transit buses when accompanying someone with a disability who has an identified medical requirement for support.
One support person will be allowed per individual per trip, but the support person may change. All persons with a disability who wish to have a support person travel with them must get an Oakville Transit Support Person ID Card and present it to the bus driver for each trip that includes a support person.
Customers may be eligible for a subsidized pass for low-income transit (SPLIT pass) through Halton Region.
SPLIT Pass sales is available for purchase at the Oakville Transit office and can be purchased with cash, debit or credit. SPLIT passes are no longer sold at Town Hall.
